Carlos Beltran cracked 2 homeruns as the blistering-hot Santa Fe Trailer
Bitches defeated the Columbus Crowd by a score of 10 to 7 at the
ballpark.

Beltran provided much of the offense. He brought the hometown folks to their
feet with a Grand Slammer in the 1st inning and smacked a three-run homer
(his 8th of the season) in the 4th inning. Santa Fe had 16 hits overall,
while Columbus had 10.

Chris Carpenter(4-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 and 2/3 innings
and allowing 7 runs. Jason Isringhausen got the save, his 8th. Brendan
Donnelly(0-3) was the loser in relief.

This win by Santa Fe continues their recent hot streak. In their last ten
games, they have a record of 10-0. For the season, they are a division
leading 19-6. Columbus has a record of 11-14 after the loss.
